Chocolate Peppermint Caramel Cone (Vegan Friendly)
The classic, you lose the dairy but get more… chocolatey, crispy, salty and sweet. it has it all.
- 1 cup unpopped popcorn kernels Or 3 bags of plain microwave popcorn
- 1 box crispix cereal Family size – Cone check also works
- 3 candy cane finely ground
- 1 tablespoon flake salt
- 1/2 cup dairy-free white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup diary free dark chocolate chips

- 1 cup vegan butter Myokos brand is my favorite
- 2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 11.6 oz can sweetened condensed coconut milk

Using a popcorn popper or pot on the stove, pop the popcorn kernels in 1/2 cup batches, keeping them from burning. Transfer the popped kernels from one large bowl to another bowl, shaking occasionally to settle the unpopped kernels and separate the unpopped kernels. You don’t want unpopped kernels in the mix. Otherwise, someone could break a tooth.

In an extra-large metal or wooden mixing bowl, combine popcorn and crisps. Mix evenly.

In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. As soon as it melts, add the cocoa powder and mix with a whisk. Then add the corn syrup and brown sugar and whisk quickly until everything is combined.
