We’ve been making homemade pizza for years, but recently started making our own pizza sauce. It seemed like the dough and toppings were the star, the sauce was the side note, and it wasn’t worth the effort.

After a few tweaks, I came up with a sauce that’s rich, flavorful, easy to make, and uses whatever food you have in your pantry.
