Spicy Heart Palm Noodles with Chicken
If you want an easy way to get more vegetables in your diet, you’re crazy about these low-carb, gluten-free heart of palm noodlesThey’re super healthy – you’re almost eating a big bowl of veggies! I used heart of palm noodles instead of pasta and loved it so much that I created this spicy chicken version. I have already made this dish for lunch several times.
Heart of Palm Health Benefits
Hearts of palm are non-starchy vegetables obtained from the heart of certain varieties of palm trees. Culinary diversity is appreciated. Non-starchy vegetables provide fewer calories for larger amounts of food, promote satiety and reduce overall food intake. It provides small amounts of several other nutrients such as magnesium and folic acid.It is rich in important minerals such as potassium, phosphorus, copper and zinc.
What does Heart of Palm Noodles taste like?
Hearts of Palm Noodles, palm noodles like Parmini Pasta and Trader Joe’s Brand, taste like Hearts of Palm, but not overpowering. They take on the flavor of the sauce you use to season them.
Should palm pasta cores be rinsed?
I like to rinse the parmini noodles before using to neutralize the taste.
fry the ingredients
Palm Noodle Heart: many supermarkets including Amazonsells par mini noodles.
Minced chicken: Substitute ground chicken with turkey meat.
garlic: Chop 3 cloves.
Ginger: I like fresh ginger, but if you don’t have fresh ginger, you can use dried.
sauce: Low-salt soy sauce, shrimp, sambal orek
Garnish: green onion and sesame
How to make heart of palm pasta
Rinse the palm noodle core and drain.
cook chicken Cook in a large skillet over high heat for 5 minutes. Move the meat to one side, add 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and noodles and fry for a few minutes.
add three sauces Cook for 2-3 minutes. Top the stir-fry with sesame seeds, scallions, and more sambal for extra heat.
Stir-fried noodle variations:
hot flavor: If you don’t have sambal, you can use sriracha. Or skip it if you don’t like spicy food.
noodles: if not found parmini pastasubstitute zoodles or cooked rice noodles.
Gluten-free stir-fries: Sub coconut amino or tamari for soy sauce.
vegetable: Add your favorite vegetables such as green peppers, green soybeans, and broccoli.

12ouncepalm noodle package heart, Palmini
8ounceminced chicken
1tea spoonsesame oil
3garlic, chopped
1tablespoongrated ginger
¼cupReduced salt soy sauce , or gluten-free soy sauce*
1tablespoonseafood
1tablespoonSambal Orek, or use sriracha
green onion and sesame, for decoration
Place the palm noodle cores in a colander and rinse with cold water to drain.
Cook the chicken in a large skillet over high heat with a spray of oil for 5 minutes, breaking up until browned and cooked through.
Push meat to one side.
Reduce heat to medium-low, add 1 teaspoon oil, garlic, ginger, and noodles, and heat over medium heat for 1-2 minutes.
Add soy sauce, shrimp noodles and sambal and simmer for 2-3 minutes to blend the flavors.
Mix everything together and transfer to 2 plates.
Top with sesame seeds, green onions and sambal as desired.
