How to perform a simple self-test to identify systemic fungal overgrowth of Candida in the comfort of your own home, without messy samples or expensive labs.
Candida overgrowth is a modern phenomenon caused by overuse of medications such as antibiotics and pills that kill the beneficial flora in the gut. I can do it.
A modern diet poor in nutrients, high in sugar and refined foods, can sustain this unhealthy gut condition indefinitely.
If not resolved by diet and efforts to rebalance the gut, Candida can eventually escape into the blood via perforation of the intestinal wall, allowing fungal colonization and infection of other body tissues.
The symptoms of candida overgrowth are many. Some of the most common are:
- skin rash
- itchy skin
- gas
- bloating
- bloating
- vaginal yeast infection
- Inkin bug
- Athlete’s foot
- Cradle cap (infants)
- Dandruff
- Nail/toenail fungal infection
Some alternative doctors also blame systemic fungal infections for some forms of cancer. (1)
Self-test for systemic fungal overgrowth
If you suspect systemic fungal overgrowth inside, there are simple tests you can do at home that can help another practitioner diagnose pathogenic yeast problems.
it is called Candida sputum test Or candida saliva test. (2)
It’s a simple self-diagnosis that you can easily do at home for free.
There is no need to collect laborious samples, send them to the lab, perform costly tests and record results in a database.
best in the morning
This self-test is best done first thing in the morning, before you eat or drink anything.
Do it before brushing your teeth or putting anything in your mouth.
saliva analysis
All you have to do is spit into a clear glass of water.
The glass is then observed at 15 minute intervals for 1 hour.
signs of fungus
What you’re looking for during your observation period is one of three things:
Any of these points to possible fungi in saliva and systemic infection.
- A filamentous leg that travels downward through the water from saliva floating on the surface of the water.
- Saliva is cloudy and settles to the bottom of the glass within an hour.
- Cloudy specks of saliva remain floating in the water.
candida free saliva
If the saliva is still floating on top of the glass of water after an hour and no “legs” have formed underneath it, then the saliva is free of fungi.
whole body inside Candida Infection is unlikely.
Good news! You are presumed to be free from fungal overgrowth problems of any kind.
Do the tests indicate a fungal problem?
If a candida saliva test indicates that you have fungal overgrowth, it is advisable to review your diet and treatment to re-balance it with the beneficial flora.
The best way I’ve found to do this slowly without drugs or expensive treatments is GAPS diet. (3, 4)
There are many GAPS recipes on this blog to help you get started quickly.
A specific carbohydrate diet is another great approach that yields good results. (Five)
However, from personal experience, I recommend against the Candida diet.
One thing you shouldn’t do is ignore systemic fungal infections.
It does not disappear by itself.
Systemic candida tends to lurk under the surface, hampering the immune system and causing autoimmune problems to start developing, one domino after another, and eventually a full-blown health crisis.
