pico de gallo salsa

Whenever I make Mexican food, I always make pico de gallo. It’s easy to make with ingredients you usually have in your fridge. This fresh uncooked salsa has the perfect blend of acidity to add heat and flavor to anything you make. You can enjoy it with grilled fish, seafood tacos, burritos, burrito bowls, chips. You can adjust the heat and ingredients to your liking. When we make tacos, nachos, enchiladas, or any other Mexican dish, we always make batches together. Guacamole Serve with coriander-lime rice for a meal.

What is pico de gallo vs salsa?

Also called real pico de gallo salsa fresca again salsa cruda, is a type of fresh uncooked salsa made with fresh ingredients commonly used in Mexican cuisine. Salsa uses cooked ingredients.

material

  • tomato: Chop 4 medium-ripe tomatoes. Roma tomatoes, plum tomatoes, or vine-ripened tomatoes can be used. It’s okay if you only have cherry tomatoes or grape tomatoes.
  • onion: Finely chop the white onion until it’s half a cup. Red onions are also fine.
  • Hot pepper: Use jalapeno peppers to keep it mild, or choose serrano peppers if you want to make a super spicy salsa. Remove the seeds and finely chop 1-2 bell peppers, depending on your salsa spiciness preference.
  • coriander: Chop the coriander leaves, not the stalks. If you really don’t like cilantro, you can omit the cilantro and replace it with chives.
  • Lime juice: I like the rye flavor to be strong, but feel free to adjust the flavor to your liking.
  • salt and black pepper Season
  • Optional materials: I love adding fresh garlic and a little bell pepper. You can add jalapeno peppers if you like it spicy.

Making this traditional salsa from scratch is easy and much better than buying ready-made. Believe me, read the comments and you’ll see that everyone agrees. Once you make it from scratch, you’ll never buy jars again! Just chop all the ingredients into a bowl and mix. Let it sit in the fridge for at least an hour to let the flavors meld.
