love note from Anjie – nov 4, 2022

by Contributing Author

hello dear friend

It’s an unseasonably warm day in New York City. But I’m fine with that! The warm autumn colors are still vivid. Green, gold, orange, fiery red. It is truly breathtaking. I’m usually attracted to water, but the beauty of autumn foliage in the temperate zone is exceptional.

I was also lucky enough to make room for a trip to the Catskills upstate a few days ago. Mountain Top Arboretum. My favorite part was the 14,900 year old “Emerald Bog”.

The Latin word for green is viridis, which is related to a large group of words that suggest growth or life itself: vivere.

I’ve been thinking about greens, especially deep tones. In Feng Shui, green is the element of wood. But when it’s darker and tougher, it can provide the strength and life energy of ancient evergreen trees. they are always playing. Always look to nature. she is the best teacher
