Our Cooking Club is a fun way to celebrate the Love & Lemons community of our readers. The concept is very simple, we choose recipes every month.you make it and you Please send me the email photograph. At the end of the month, he will randomly select one winner to receive the prize.

I love the sense of community that comes from so many people making one recipe each month. Starting her March challenge today with a shakshuka recipe (ps below for her vegan options). Please join us. Here’s how it works:

Join the Love & Lemons Cooking Club

  1. Choose one seasonal recipe each month. Sign up for our email list so you know as soon as we share our monthly recipes.
  2. Make that recipe during the month.
  3. Please send a photo to LoveAndLemonsCookingClub@gmail.com by the end of the month. The deadline for this time is March 31th!
  4. Leave a comment for bonus entries (Please include first and last name) After submitting a photo, in the challenge recipe blog post.

shakshuka recipe


This month I bring you one of my favourites, this shakshuka. Shakshuka is traditionally eaten for breakfast in North Africa and the Middle East, but you can easily pass it on for dinner. I season it with harissa for a kick of heat (choose mild harissa if you don’t like spice) and stir in a handful of spinach for a nice speck of green. Top with feta cheese and avocado and serve with pita bread or crispy bread.

To make this recipe vegan, Skip the eggs and instead boil 1 1/2 cups of chickpeas in the sauce and add to the skillet at the same time as the tomatoes.

Last month’s recipe

Last month’s recipe was my classic tomato soup. February checks all the boxes. It’s easy to make, creamy and comforting, and the ingredients list is mostly pantry items (no special grocery trip required!). Many people commented that it is also easy to use in the pantry. glad!
