There was a little refreshment in the laundry room a while ago. I’m so happy to share it with you. The top and bottom cabinets we added to this space a few years ago worked well and provided storage, but they happened to be unused and shrunk the space a bit too much. So we reuse cabinets from our pool house. Also, during the design of the future bedroom (opposite the butler’s pantry), we would like to add a walkway from the bedroom to the laundry room. This saves you from having to move half the house with dirty laundry…who doesn’t want a mini butler’s pantry right by your bedroom. It was easy to identify the best way to do it. After considering the actual amount of storage we need for this space, we decided that antique cabinets looked beautiful and would suit all our needs.
If you see in our story that we ordered a new set first Maytag Washer/dryer located in the pool area. We’ll keep you updated on the pool house area, but we want to create a space that can accommodate overnight guests while also meeting the needs we’ve seen after hosting in the pool area over the past few years. went Maytag Pet Pro Washer and Dryer (Link). If you didn’t know pet pro The system can remove up to 5x more pet hair, and if you have a large Great Pyrenees puppy with free range all over the house, it will seek help removing as much gray hair as possible. Agitators that trap pet hair include a small canister called a pet filter and an oversized lint trap on your dryer.
It is very alarming how much pet hair is caught. After some more thought I realized that this is a better fit. our laundry room, and now Maytag Washer and dryer, go to pool house area. While refreshing, we centered two antique sconces above the washer and dryer.
I love this design choice because the two different lighting options, an overhead light and a sconce, create a sense of separation. Overhead lights illuminate the laundry room and wall sconces illuminate the laundry area in this room. The soft light from the wall sconce seems to dominate most of the space, providing a softer environment. I love the look of these lights with the antique cabinet in between.
We had a fun introduction to this update and the new Maytag Pet Pro Washer & Dryer. Instagram reel (Link). We had a lot of questions regarding the update. Here’s a Q&A to help with common questions.

Do you know the paint color of the green cabinets?
No colors for now. But I’ve seen this question come up quite a bit. If you can safely and easily remove parts of your cabinets (such as doors), take them to your local paint store to match the code and colors they share.
