our autumn home
I always miss the end of summer, but I love decorating for fall! Fall decor is totally my jam. I love the muted autumn tones, natural elements and cozy textures.
I usually have my house fall decorated by Labor Day weekend, but this year I’ve been a little behind due to flooding in my laundry room over the summer. Unfortunately, replacing a floor through insurance is not a quick process and can take months. It turned out to be something. At least now we can decorate for autumn! 🙂
Cozy autumn home decorating ideas
Before I decorate each year, I always like to look back at what I did the year before. So… today we’re putting together all of last year’s fall decorating ideas into one big fall home tour. We hope you have lots of simple and easy ways to incorporate cozy fall decor into your own home.
fall front pouch
There’s nothing like coming home to a warm and cozy front porch. I love having a little light on the front porch to welcome guests when the night starts to get dark early.
Last year, our fall porch included lots of natural elements and traditional fall colors. In addition, it creates a warm and inviting look.
And my favorite part of the porch was its beautiful night glow! Use string lights {or Christmas lights!}, outdoor candles, lanterns, or a lighted tree to brighten up your space.

autumn cafeteria
Our dining room is the first main room you see when you enter the front door and is usually the first space I decorate for the season.
I often start with a central source of inspiration for my dining room decor. This nature-inspired centerpiece was one of my favorite him and served as the color inspiration for the rest of the room.
I also like setting up seasonal drink and snack bars in my dining room, and have done a variety of fun setups over the years, including an apple cider bar and this fall’s hot drink bar. , I created some new free coffee bar labels and put together this cute drink bar.
These air dried clay leaves were one of my favorite DIYs from last year and I love the detail on the set of simple string lights.

autumn kitchen
Next is the kitchen! Kitchen countertops are the best real estate, so I try to incorporate fall decor in as functional a way as possible.
I always enjoy dressing up my sink for each season. New dish towels, autumn-scented dishes and hand soap, and some autumn stems add the perfect autumn touch and make cooking so much fun!
To keep things tidy, I like to use trays to corral ornaments together. And adding some twinkle lights always makes things prettier!
I like to rotate the artwork seasonally and have lots of free fall prints I’ve made over the years. The easiest way to add seasonal decorations. You can find them all here.

autumn family room
Our family room is right off the kitchen and dining space. I added lots of warm fall colors, cozy blankets, and cute fall florals to create a cozy space for snuggling up on cool fall evenings.
of battery taper candle A remote control on the mantel turns it on and off, so it’s easy to use and adds that glow of light in your fireplace.
I also like to add a few seasonal candles or diffuse fall scents to really get in the mood!

autumn bedroom
Last year was the first year I decorated my bedroom for fall, and I will definitely do it again.
There are many easy and inexpensive ways to add coziness to your space using candles, fall scents, textured bedding, pillows, or throws.
