I’ve been making this buffalo dip for years. It’s much lighter than most buffalo dip recipes out there, but you never know! buffalo chicken dip Healthy, I use lean chicken breast and lighten it up with Greek yogurt or non-fat sour cream. And of course I use Frank’s Hot Sauce – a must! is the quickest and bakes it in the oven.

- Shredded chicken breast: Cooked in a crockpot or rotisserie chicken.
- Frank’s Hot Sauce: Frank’s original hot sauce is a must!
- Cream cheese: used low fat
- Sour cream or Greek yogurt: This replaces some of the cream cheese used in other recipes to make it lighter
- Crushed blue cheese: Or replace with cheddar cheese
- White vinegar: just a little bit for flavor
- If you plan to provide services bigger crowd,I strongly recommend it recipe doublingthe cooking time remains the same.
- Prepare this the day before and put it in the oven 30 minutes before serving.
- Leftovers will keep in the refrigerator for 4 days.
If you don’t like blue cheese, you can use cheddar or mozzarella instead. If you like extra cheese, you can top it with cheddar cheese and let it melt before serving.

Fastest oven method:
To bake this in the oven, use rotisserie chicken shredded chicken breast, mix all ingredients together and place in a baking dish. Bake at 350F for about 20-25 minutes until hot.
Cooking pot method:
To make this in your slow cooker, cook chicken breast in water or broth over high heat for 4 hours, drain and shred with 2 forks. Add remaining ingredients to slow cooker, cook on low heat for 2-3 hours, and serve hot.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe:
To make shredded chicken, place chicken in slow cooker and add enough water or chicken broth. High cook 4 hours. Remove and shred with 2 forks and discard liquid.
Meanwhile, mix cream cheese, sour cream, vinegar and hot sauce until smooth. Add half of the blue cheese.
Transfer to slow cooker with chicken, mix well, return to slow cooker, and cook over low heat for 2-3 hours.
Transfer to a serving dish, top with remaining blue cheese, and garnish with green onions. Serve hot.
Faster Oven Method with Rotisserie Chicken:
Buy a rotisserie chicken, remove the breast from the bone, and remove the skin and shreds. Save the rest of the chicken for another recipe.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place chicken in a large bowl and combine cream cheese, sour cream, vinegar, and hot sauce until smooth. Add half of the blue cheese and place in a baking dish. Bake at 350F for about 20-25 minutes until hot.
