Tips and Suggestions
Avoid overcooking the eggs. Eggs continue to cook in the oven, so resist the temptation to cook them completely on the stovetop. You want soft, hard-boiled eggs that cook to perfect firmness in the oven. Too much preheating will result in rubbery eggs.
Try pouring pizza dough. This dough recipe is super quick and easy, but if you’re short on time, try using store-bought pizza dough or pre-baked pizza dough. You can also use tortillas or Greek pita bread to make smaller individual breakfast pizzas.
Alternative ideas for meat: Try cooked bacon, diced ham, or rotisserie chicken instead of ground sausage.
Experiment with different toppings. Breakfast pizzas are almost as customizable as traditional pizzas. Here are some other delicious topping ideas.
- mushroom slices
- chopped onion
- sliced black olives
- half mini tomato
- Black bean
- diced roasted sweet potato
- avocado (after baking)
- topped with fresh herbs
- diced green chillies
