In our new series “Antique Paint Colors – Cozy Cottage Farmhouse Paint Color”, we bring our love and appreciation to the antique and vintage items we have here at home on our farm, sharing the colors that are closest to those pieces to bring to your next space. We hope it gives you some inspiration. These are drawn from antique pieces and matched, but you can see that these colors play a big role in the furniture as well as the walls, trim and cabinetry. This week came from a request to color match this cute little green pharmacy that I recently picked up while hunting for antiques a few weeks ago. Its small stature and plentiful drawers (which I always love) fit nicely in small nooks, helping to keep things hidden and organized, while also paying homage to our love of vintage. At first I thought it was mint green, but when I pulled the color, I realized that it leans more toward green than mint because I did it from three different places.
Here are the closest established colors from the major paint brands we love and love. Some designers rely heavily on his Pantone color library, so here are the closest Pantone FHI colors to start the list.
