I am obsessed with this salmon recipe because it is so quick and delicious! Cooking salmon in the air fryer produces the most tender and juicy fish. Momiji soy sauce made with only four ingredients is delicious. Pure maple syrup, sriracha, soy sauce, garlic. The best part is that the fish is marinated for 15 minutes and then air fried for 6-8 minutes. This is my favorite air fryer salmon recipe, but I also love this Chili Lime Air Fryer Salmon and Basil Parmesan Salmon if you want a different flavor profile. Air Fryer Salmon Variations:
I never order salmon at a restaurant. This air fryer salmon is marinated in Asian flavors, but you can keep it simple!
The salmon was seasoned with salt and pepper and served with freshly squeezed lemon to keep it simple.
Play around with the salmon with different spices like Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
Try using honey instead of maple syrup in this recipe.
If you don’t have an air fryer but want to cook this salmon in the oven, try this baked version.

If salmon is frozen, Thaw in the refrigerator overnight or place the sealed fish in a large bowl of cold water until the fish is thawed.
Cut the salmon fillet into quarters Or buy pre-cut fillets and marinate them in maple syrup, sriracha, garlic and soy sauce for 15-20 minutes. You can leave the skin on or remove it if you prefer.

There is no need to preheat the air fryer. Depending on the thickness of the salmon, the fish will take about 6-8 minutes. It’s also delicious with toppings!

There are many great air fryers out there. After testing a few in both of my air fryer cookbooks, I currently have Go Wise 7 Quart Air Fryer (Amazon affiliate link). The basket is big and 1700, so it’s powerful and I like it!
Accompaniment to Air Fryer Salmon
I like to serve salmon with brown rice, potatoes, salad, or vegetables such as broccoli, bok choy, and Brussels sprouts.
Useful Tips for Air Frying Salmon
Spray the basket with propellant-free oil or use parchment paper in your air fryer to prevent skins from sticking to the basket.
No need to preheat the air fryer.
Do not overfill the basket for proper airflow.
Salmon does not need to be flipped, it is cooked on both sides.
How to know if salmon is ready, the fish will turn from translucent (red or raw) to opaque (pink) as it cooks. After 6-8 minutes of cooking, check for doneness by scraping through the thickest part with a sharp knife or fork. . It should be flaky, but when it’s done, it’s still slightly translucent in the center.
Storage method
Refrigerate leftover salmon in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.

Serving size: 1fillet of salmon
Combine maple syrup, soy sauce, sriracha, and garlic in a small bowl, pour into a gallon-sized resealable bag, and add salmon.
Marinate for 20-30 minutes, turning occasionally.
Lightly spray the basket with oil.
Remove fish from marinade and pat dry with paper towels.
Depending on the thickness of the salmon, batch the fish into the air fryer and air fry at 400F for 7-8 minutes or longer.
Meanwhile, pour the marinade into a small saucepan and simmer over medium-low heat until thickened, 1-2 minutes. Spoon salmon just before serving.
